Wow, I always knew it was going to be amazing and endless people had said 'you'll love it' but I really didn't know how life changing it would be.
Most of the labor was done at home, in the shower, walking around campus and in the taxi ride to the hospital. Then the last more intense stage was done in the delivery room. Kelly-Anne being the tough trooper that she is was at 9cm by the time we walked into the hospital. She said no to pain relievers, instead she just left bite marks on my shoulders. Me and the douala also did massage and pushing/squeezing on pressure points throughout and in between the contractions.
The first minor contractions actually started on Friday evening at a Broadway show, they were off and on until Sunday afternoon when the intensity started. It didn't really stop until 2:34 am on Monday 23rd June when Leona Grace Twist entered the world, she was born in New York and is absolutely gorgeous.
